If you are looking for a shagging good time, join the Upstate Shag Club any Saturday night at Southport Food & Spirits on Southport Rd in Roebuck ( Spartanburg) . Southport Food & Spirits has shag night every Saturday night, but the 2nd Saturdays are closed to the public for Upstate Shag Club members and guests. There is no cover charge to join the fun. A full menu is available and the Shag club also provides snacks and desserts on club night. This location has a great 15’ x 20’ wood dance floor that the Upstate Shag Club provided. Different DJ’s spin the tunes each week for the club. Seating is limited, so get there early for the best seats. Reasonable prices on cash bar items.
The Upstate Shag Club members also frequent Decades on Wednesday nights and Wild Wing Café on Sunday nights. They co-host events with other clubs like the R & B Shag Club of Spartanburg on such events as the annual beach party at Fall SOS. This club likes to dance and they keep the floor full.
