Only 35 miles from the Atlantic Ocean, the birth place of Pepsi, New Bern, NC is the home of the Twin Rivers Shag Club, named for the two rivers, the Neuse and Trent, that converge here. Twin Rivers Shag Club can be found shagging at Attitudes Pub and Grill, 32 Shoreline Dr. in River Bend, on Sundays at 6:00 PM. The club's business meeting is the second Sunday of the month, at 6:00 PM, with dancing following. A $3.00 cover charge gets you in for some great dancing and music. The club used to meet at the legendary Oar House, but like many other businesses, it was lost to progress. Fortunately Twin Rivers has found a new home with a large hardwood dance floor that's in a separate area of the main bar, complete with a TV for watching the race or the game. The Club also has other special events throughout the year, such as the Annual "Oar House Reunion", and an amateur shag contest.
