Update 11/17/08 - You can now shag with the Eno Beach Shag Club here most 1st and 3rd Saturdays.

Near the heart of UNC -CH is located the Time Out Sports Bar & Grill at the Holiday Inn. On most Friday nights you will find shaggers there listening to the sounds of beach music from a live band. The bands play from 8:30- 12 in the patio area of the Restaurant/Bar. The patio area, along with the bar inside it, is in a triangular shape with tables lining the surrounding windowed walls. The band sets up in front of the rock fireplace in the corner. There is easy viewing of the band from either side. There is no real dance floor here, but the dancers will dance between the bar and the band. You can call the Hotel for the band schedule at 919-918-1081. The Restaurant is also open with a full menu available and plenty of TV s for viewing your favorite sport. Smoking is permitted in the patio area only. Larger parties like New Year’s Eve are held in the ballroom of the Holiday Inn.
