Thirsty’s 2 located at 119 N Chimney Rock Rd (near the airport) in Greensboro, is home for The Greater Triad Shag Club. Saturdays are club nights for GTSC but Sundays are big shag nights also, with usually a couple hundred people in attendance. Thirsty’s 2 is open Wednesday through Sunday. Friday nights host live entertainment by top beach /shag bands, while Wednesday & Thursday (Shag Lessons),Thurs, Sat, and Sun nights have music provided by shag DJs.

Thirsty’s 2 is a membership club with cover being $7 for guests & Cover for bands on Friday Night.  Thirsty's 2 Members in free most Saturday & Sundays (Except Special Events). It has a large 30’ x 30’ wooden dance floor and an extended area of tile that dancers use when the main floor gets full. The club seats about 120. NO Smoking is allowed throughout the club but a large deck is provided for smokers. Food is not served, but Hot Dogs & Hamburgers are available on most Sunday nights. Beer $3, mixed drinks $4.50 and soft drinks $1.75 with discounted prices on Sunday nights. This 2003 CBMA Show Club of the Year also hosts shag competitions during the year.

Many shaggers travel from out of town to visit this club weekly.
