The Eno Beach Shag Club meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays from 8-12 at The Tavern, 5504 Chapel Hill Rd in Durham, NC. The Tavern is a private club that has a 12’ x 21’ wooden dance floor, DJ booth, a separate billiard room downstairs and also a dart room, along with TV s and a lounge area near the bar. Plenty of seating near the dance floor. Smoking is allowed. Beer prices are $2.50 and mixed drinks $3-$4. This club also sponsors a non-sanctioned shag contest.
A Rather unique blend of activities for a shagging good time.
Directions: Take I-40 to exit 270. Turn towards Durham on Chapel Hill Blvd (left if going east, right if going west). Turn left at the first stop light after you clear the I-40 intersection on Mt Moriah Road (just past Bob Evans and the Outback on the right.) Take the first left and go straight until you see The Tavern on the left, up on the hill.
