Cross over the bridge onto Harbour
Island and you will find members of the Sun Coast Shag Club shagging the
night away on Sundays at the Blackjack Lounge at
Jackson’s Bistro at the
Westin. This lounge has a great patio view of Hillsborough Bay. This
very nice, upscale lounge has a 10’ x 20’ black tile dance floor, great
for shagging. There is plenty of seating at tables and around the bar
where you can order from a full menu. The DJ plays all shag tunes from
7-10pm. Smoking is allowed outside under the covered patio with access
to the bay below. The clubs directions on their website were very
helpful for finding the underground parking just for Jackson’s guests
that is situated right next to the circular stairs that lead you to the
front door. Members are very welcoming.
Members of the Tampa
Bay Beach Boppers also dance at
Jackson’s on Sundays.
Great music and food, good dancers, in a really nice upscale but
friendly atmosphere with a wonderful view.
The Sun Coast Shag Club also co- sponsors the annual “Labor Day Dance
Party” held in Daytona Beach in September.
