The Statesville Shag Club meets for dinner and shag dancing every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month.  The kitchen offers a full menu selection and the Statesville Shag Club also brings plenty of extra food for anyone attending this shag dance event.  Cover charge  is $5.00 for members and $7.00 for guest.  Plenty of parking and plenty of seating is available.  This location is a smoke free environment but smoking is allowed right outside the front door.  The 25' x 35' hardwood dance floor is the perfect size for shag or line dancing.  The family environment makes it easy to feel right at home.  Every year in August the Statesville Shag Club has its annual party know as the "Summer Shag Sizzler" formerly known as "The Reject Party".  There are usually about 200  attending  this event every year which starts at 3:00pm in the afternoon and continues until midnight.  All proceeds go to help the Iredell County Hospice.  For more information just check out their website listed on this page.  If you live in the Statesville area and looking for somewhere to shag dance or line dance, check out The Statesville Shag Club at the VFW Post 2031.  Directions are on their website.
