The Star City Shaggers, getting their name from Roanoke’s nickname of “The Star City of the South”. They are just a fun loving group of people that keep the shag music and
dance alive. They taught both Natalie Faunce and Becky Freemal from the local Fox
news how to shag dance. They also have treat nights every month. They have the best Dee Jays in the Roanoke Valley.... “Diamond Jim & Miss Kitty”. Shag & line dance lessons are given each week for no charge.
