The Capital City Shag Club and the Camden Lugoff Area Shag Society together with The Village at Sandhill presents
Shaggin at the Village
On Saturday July 11, 2009 from 12 Noon to 4:00 PM behind the fountain at The Village at Sandhill, Columbia, SC
Both shag clubs will have members present to promote their clubs and to provide free Shag and Line Dance Lessons.
DJBob Patterson, Jimmy Davis, Janice Caulder and Dennis Brumble will be playing all of your favorite shag tunes.
Bring your chairs. umbrellas and coolers, no alcoholic beverages, please!
This is a charity fundraising event to benefit the Harvest Hope Food Bank. Please donate non-perishable food or cash. The Village at Sandhill wil give an eco-friendly shopping bag for each donation. The Village at Sandhill is located at Clemson Road and Two Notch Road in Northeast Columbia.
Hunger is a problem affecting the elderly and the young, the healthy and the sick. It is a problem affecting people just like you, from parents working minimum wage jobs struggling to put food on the table, to retired couples who have trouble paying for expensive medications, hunger is a reality for a growing number of South Carolinians.
Every day over 445,000 South Carolinians go hungry. The mission of Harvest Hope Food Bank is to provide for the needs of hungry people by gathering and sharing quality food with dignity, compassion and education. For every dollar donated, 98 cents will go towards programs and services to benefit hungry people.
Are you ready to make a difference? Did you know that
* $15 feeds a family for one week.
* $50 supports a Kids Cafe site (Harvest Hopeafterschool meals program).
* $100 pays transportation for a Mobile Food Pantry to an underserved community.
* $500 meets Harvest HopeEmergency Food Pantry's weekly needs.
* $1000 will fill a Harvest Hope delivery truck full of food.
