2008 Beach Music Day in Columbia.Beach Music Association International Day is being held in combination with the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the State Museum! There will be 20 hours of fun with many planned activities from 9:00 a.m.till 5:00 a.m. There will be FREE Admittance to the State Museum and all activities including Beach Music Association International Day! Shag Activities Schedule: All Shaggers are welcome! 11:30-12:30 p.m. "History of Beach Music" in the Auditorium with shag demonstrations by the Capital City Shag Club Shaggers: Margie Lee, Tommie Brant, Rita and Henry Dowd, Myers Varn and Jeremy Webb. 1:00-1:30 p.m. "Junior Shaggers Demonstration" in the Best Friend Stage 3:00-3:30 p.m. "Shaggers Demonstration" by the Columbia Shag Club Shaggers in the Best Friend Stage 4:00-5:00 p.m. "History of Beach Music" in the auditorium with shag demonstrations by the Capital City Shag Club Shaggers: Margie Lee, Tommie Brant, Rita and Henry Dowd, Myers Varn and Jeremy Webb.
