 The Carolina Shag is a type of swing dance that originated in Myrtle Beach in the late 1930’s. There are more Shag Clubs in the South than any other type of dance club in the world. So why not a shag club just for kids? That’s right, just kids. You get to meet new friends, learn a new dance, be part of a great club with a wonderful cause, and dance to music by artist like Missy Elliot, Fergie, Maroon 5, Ciara, Sean Kingston, Los Lonely Boys, Gnarls Barkley, Timbaland, Uncle Kracker, Lady Sovereign, Pussy Cat Dolls, and Nelly Furtado. Starting in February, every other Sunday the Sumter Junior Shaggers (SJS) will meet at Kody Brown’s house in Sumter, SC from 4-7 pm. If you are interested email Kody at koolkody1@yahoo.com .
