The Executive Committee of ShagAtlanta is pleased and excited to announce that we have located a new venue for Saturday nights to replace the Marriott Perimeter Reunions Lounge, which we were so lucky to have for the past 20 years. Your EC has looked at venues from Kennesaw to Duluth and from Alpharetta to Buckhead and have finally located what we hope will be our next home for another extended period of time. Located on Ga. Highway 141 in Peachtree Corners, NEMOE'S Restaurant and Bar has been offered to us for Saturday nights subject only to our continued support. The room we will be using is at the rear of the facility, has a separate entry with a nice outside area for smokers, lots of parking up close (in front of and behind the building), a brand new dance floor, DJ booth, new sound system, full bar and very reasonable drink prices. We will be allowed to bring our own DJ and not only is Fred (the owner) and his staff pleasant and anxious for us to come, the food is fabulous and prices are very affordable. Fred will also be giving all ShagAtlanta members who show their membership card, a 10% discount on their dinners on the Saturday nights we are there. We have scheduled our first coming out party for Saturday night, September 8 and we hope everyone will plan to be there.
