At the foothills of the North Carolina mountains, you’ll find the Sandy Beach Shag Club. They meet every 4th Saturday from 7:30-11pm at the Morganton Elk’s Lodge (a non smoking facility) at 500 Golf Course Rd just a few miles from I-40. The Elk’s Lodge is a really nice facility with a large 30’ x 30’ wooden dance floor. There is plenty of parking, ample seating and room to spread out on the great dance floor. Cover charges are $6 for members and $7 for guests. The full bar has awesome drink specials and the club provides appetizers for the dancers to munch on.
This location draws members from many neighboring shag clubs. The Sandy Beach Shag club members will make everyone feel welcome.
