Although Red’s Beach Music has been providing beach music and live beach bands  to shaggers for 40 years, Red’s is now at a new location on Capital Blvd in Raleigh. This renovated warehouse can’t be missed with it’s red coat of paint and the trademark red and white beach ball on the outside. Inside the club, which is open 7 days a week from 3pm till 2am, you will find a fabulous 35’ x 40’ brand new wood dance floor. There are 2 bars for your convenience. The largest bar is 85’ long. Also soon to open is the Red Hot Grille, which will be serving food everyday. Dance lessons are offered on Monday and Tuesday by Bonnie Rhodes, a 20 year teaching veteran of the shag. Beginner lessons are from 7-8pm. Intermediate lessons are from 8-9pm. Membership for Red’s is $15 for a year. Besides playing beach music everyday, Red’s Beach Music also brings in top beach bands throughout the week. This club is also a supporter of NC Children’s Hospital and holds fundraisers for them throughout the year. 

Be sure to check out Red’s swing while you are at the club and the Red Hot Grill that will serve all sorts of sandwiches everyday and night of the week.
