His music is a unique blend of soul, blues, rock and country all with that unmistakable beach music rhythm or as Jim Quick describes it, Carolina swamp music. His last CD, released under the alias band name of King Tyrone & The Graveyard Ramblers, contained the smash hit, Mamas Drinkin Liquor Again (see video below).

FALL DANCE PARTY, sponsored by the Northern Virginia Shag Club is scheduled for Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Ft. Myer, VA (Arlington) Community Center (226 McNair Rd., Bldg 405, Ft. Myer, VA 22211-1199, 703-696-3470). The best of beach music along with rhythm and blues will be presented in a smoke-free environment on a beautiful smooth dance floor. Admission is $20 and includes workshop instructions on intermediate shag dance steps between 6 - 7:30 pm. Pro workshop instructors are Gene and Nancy Pope who are six time national shag champions and 2008 Grand National champions. DJ Gary Barnes from VA Beach will spin the music. Juniors under 21 are free with escort. Open dancing is between 7:30 - 11:30 pm. Heavy hors d'oeuvres, sodas and water are available starting at 6 pm. Cash Bar Only for alcohol and NO BYOB.
