Event Title: Land Harbor Spring Boogie- Banner Elk

The Land Harbor Spring Boogie, Linville Land Harbor's first shag dance in 2011, will be held Saturday night, May 28th at the Recreation Center. All the profits from the dance will benefit Grandfather Home for Children in Banner Elk. The dance will feature shag, line and slow dancing and the deejay will be Steve Coley from Newton, NC. The dance will be from 7:30-11:00PM and the price of admission is $6 per person. A free beginner shag lesson will be taught from 6:45-7:30 PM prior to the dance. Grandfather Home for Children, founded in 1914, is a ministry that provides love and healing to more than 600 children and youth annually. The children in their care have experienced deep hurt and trauma from neglect or abuse. The dance is limited to the first 160 dancers who make reservations. Dancers are encouraged to bring their own refreshments and snacks, and coolers are welcome. Ice will be provided.
