Directions: Appx 5 miles north on 321 from Hickory and continue past Walmart for about 2 miles. Turn left at stoplight next to Fairvalue Supermarket (gas station on the right). Go about 2 miles and this road will run into 321A or old 321. Turn left (south)at the light, then take an immediate right across the RR onto Dry Pond road. You'll go appx 1 mile and the Renaissance is on the left at 100 Renaissance Ln. The facility is in a development type area and doesn't resemble a restaurant from the outside. Another way is to take 321A at the light at Walmart and continue a few miles until you see Dry Pond Road. If anyone has any questions they can reach Steve Coley at 828-464-6997.

The cost of the class is $50.00 per person for 5 weeks or $15.00 per person per class.

Jay and Carol placed 4th in 2009 and 3rd in 2010 in the National Shag Dance Championships in North Myrtle and compete in CSA and SPA Carolina shag contest year round. The cost of the class is $50.00 per person for 5 weeks or $15.00 per person per class.

The Statesville Shag Club dances at the VFW Post 2031 in Statesville each second and fourth Friday of every month. Dances are 8pm. to 11:30pm. We have a large wooden dance floor, the best of any club around. Admission is $5 for members of the Club and $7 for non-members.
When you join us, plan to have your dinner at the VFW. The VFW serves great food at reasonable prices. Dinner is served from 7pm to 9pm. Come early and try it.

Go about 2 miles and this road will run into 321A or old 321. Turn left (south)at the light, then take an immediate right across the RR onto Dry Pond road. You'll go appx 1 mile and the Renaissance is on the left at 100 Renaissance Ln. The facility is in a development type area and doesn't resemble a restaurant from the outside. Shag Night is on Wednesday Nights, from 7pm until 11pm. DJ Steve Carter plays a wonderful array of beach music. Plum Krazy's is a smoke free environment however we do allow smoking on our newly remodeled patio. We also provide free hot dogs and hamburgers with all the trimmings to our shag customers on Wednesday Nights.

New Location for Wednesday night shag - The Renaissance, 100 Renaissance Ln, Granite Falls, DJ Steve Coley playing 7:30pm-10:30pm, no cover charge, food.
Directions: Appx 5 miles north on 321 from Hickory and continue past Walmart for about 2 miles. Turn left at stoplight next to Fairvalue Supermarket (gas station on the right). Go about 2 miles and this road will run into 321A or old 321. Turn left (south)at the light, then take an immediate right across the RR onto Dry Pond road. You'll go appx 1 mile and the Renaissance is on the left at 100 Renaissance Ln. The facility is in a development type area and doesn't resemble a restaurant from the outside. Another way is to take 321A at the light at Walmart and continue a few miles until you see Dry Pond Road. If anyone has any questions they can reach Steve Coley at 828-464-6997.

The Statesville Shag Club dances at the VFW Post 2031 in Statesville each second and fourth Friday of every month. Dances are 8pm. to 11:30pm. We have a large wooden dance floor, the best of any club around. Admission is $5 for members of the Club and $7 for non-members.
When you join us, plan to have your dinner at the VFW. The VFW serves great food at reasonable prices. Dinner is served from 7pm to 9pm. Come early and try it.
