Belly Roll, Front and Back Preps, Intro to Basic Pivot
BASIC II - Pivot continued, Basic Variations, Stutter steps,
Start Variations, Double Pam, Sugar Foot, Boogie Walk,
Basic Hook, Basic Double Turns, Technique
INTERMEDIATE - Female/Male footwork, Pivot Variations,
Two (2) Lead Follow Steps, Double Turn Variations,
Together Steps (can also be done as Male/Female Steps)

* Founded in mid-2007, the "45 Mile Group" is a collection of 18 shag clubs all located
within a 45-mile radius circle. These clubs have been holding meetings to encourage
mutual support of each other, reduce the number of parties held on the same date, etc.
This is the first time a large group of this area's clubs have co-hosted a party.
The 45 Mile Group currently includes: Boppers Shag Club, Charlotte Shag Club, Gaston
Shaggers, High Rock Shaggers, Lake Hickory Shag Club, Lake Norman Shag Club, Lake Wylie
Shag Club, Lexington Shaggers, Monroe Shag Club, Piedmont Shag Association, Rock Hill Area
Shag Club, Salisbury Shag Club, Sandy Beach Shag Club, Shelby Shag Club, Statesville Shag
Club, Twister's Shag Club, Winston-Salem Shag Club and York Shag Club. Everyone welcome!

Charlotte Shag Club will help sponsor a CSA Sanctioned Shag Contest at Lynn's Dance Club, 4819 S. Tryon Street, Charlotte NC on Friday, June 6th and Saturday, June 7th. There is a $5.00 cover each night and our DJ for this event will be the Legendary Butch Metcalf. Contest schedule is as follows: Friday, June 6th ----Amateur Division starts at 9:30 pm; Saturday, June 7th ----Novice Division starts at 9:00 pm, and Professional Division will follow.
