DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE: A Farewell to Arbie's Party. in the summer of 1991 about 50 people gathered for a shag party in the back yard of Arbie Carringer's house in Gastonia and a "tradition" was born. After 3 or 4 years, the party outgrew Arby's backyard so it was moved to a Moose Lodge that could accommodate a larger crowd; that yearthe place was packed. The party was held at 2 or 3 places before settling in the American Legion on Donald Ross Rd. During the years at the American Legion, the party was attended by 300 to 400+ people each year. Mike Brantley has been the DJ for every party. But we all know good things must come to an end. Arbie has moved to the beach so on Saturday, August 9th, Arbie will hold her 18th and final party at Lynn's. Everyone is invited. Lynn's regular cover will apply- ladies are free and gentlemen are $4. Party starts at 8pm. Great Food. Special Arbie Dance. DJ Mike Brantley (Note: Come early - this may be the first timewe have had to turn people away at the door.)
