When And Where We Dance	3rd Saturday @ Southern Pines Elk's Club

Southern Pines Elks Lodge is the home of the Moore Area Shag Society. The regular 3rd Saturday dances are held downstairs in the lounge where there is a nice 18' x 18' wood dance floor surrounded by mirrors on 3 walls. Seating is available between the dance floor area and DJ and the bar. Cover charge is $5 and the club provides appetizers and desserts for the shaggers. Usually around 40-60 members come to the monthly social that starts at 8 pm. The Moore Area Shag Society also sponsors 3 big parties a year, and these are held upstairs in the Elks ballroom. August is the Jackpot party, the big fundraising event for the year. They also have a large Re-up party in May and a large Christmas party. Shag lessons are taught on Mondays at 7pm by Sandy Forsythe and Tom Donaghy, CSA dancers from Sanford.

This Club also visits Mint Juleps that is nearby in Southern Pines on Fridays for shagging and on Mondays for Shag lessons with Brad Hunter and Nanci Donald.

MASS also visits with their sister clubs Sandhills Shag Club, Lake Tillery Shag Club, Carolina Shaggers, and Sanford Area Shag Society.

Nice scenic location to drive for a night of good music, shagging, food, fun and friends.
