Travel along the coast of North Carolina toward Emerald Isle and Atlantic Beach and you will find a fun little club called Memories Beach Club, the home of Atlantic Beach Shag Club. The Atlantic Beach Shag Club meets on the 2^nd Friday of every month at the club; they also dance at the club every weekend. The club also sponsors a monthly party each with its on theme, such as a Chili cook-off, Dogs on the Deck, Frogmore Stew party and much more. Started in 1990, ABSC has over 300 members.

Memories has a main wood dance floor that is 18’ X 20’ and also a dance floor off to the side for practice or dance that is 10’ X 12’. We open on Wednesday night at 6pm and offer free basic shag lessons. Thursday night we open at 5pm and offer free line dance lessons at 7pm. Friday and Saturday nights we open at 8pm and offer different DJ"s each night, with the best beach music on the coast.

Memories is home of the Atlantic Beach Shaggers Hall of Fame with 160 inductees. These members have been recognized for their devotion and dedication to a dance loved by many.

Memories Beach Club is a smoke free club with a very special place for our smoking friends. We are a private club that opens to our members and guest and we offer a good clean place to come enjoy your favorite beach music.
