Enter the tree lined drive and you’ll find the Montgomery Country Club where the Lake Tillery Shag Club dances on the 4^th Saturday of each month.

Inside the country club you’ll find a  dance room with an old hardwood floor, great for shag dancing. A 24’ x 20’ area is left open in front of the DJ for dancing. Tables with the most comfortable chairs that you’ll find at a dance club fill up the rest of the room. Tables at the back of the room  are covered with a delicious variety of food brought in by the club members along with soft drinks. Free tea and coffee is available at the bar.  The bar is located in another room of the club. It has a nice rustic atmosphere of it’s own with bar tables where you can sit and enjoy a full menu until 8:30 or your choice of appetizers till the club closes. Smoking is allowed in the bar area only or outside.  Different DJ s are used for the monthly parties. The shag club also offers door prizes and a 50/50 raffle. Good music, good dance floor and good food all for a mere $5 cover charge.

Nice party of around 60-70 shaggers that enjoy getting together and are welcoming to guests. You won’t see this group going home after the 50/50 drawing, they are having too much fun !
