On the shores of High Rock Lake near Lexington, you’ll find the High Rock Shaggers dancing on the 2^nd Friday of each month at the Boat Dock & Ski Club, 339 N Shore Dr. After the club has their meeting at 7pm, the floor is open for dancing with tunes from the DJ from 8-11pm. The cover charge is $3 for any shag club member and $5 for guests. The club provides appetizers and the cash bar offers reasonable prices on drinks. Smoking is allowed inside the Boat Dock & Ski Club which has a nice well worn 15’ x 20’ wood dance floor. This club of about 52 members enjoys getting together here to socialize and dance. In the summer months, though, the party might not get started till later after everyone has come off the lake.  From NC Hwy 8, take a left onto S Shore Dr - travel 0.4 miles, turn slight left onto Oakwood Blvd for less than 0.1 miles before turning left onto N Shore Dr- travel .2 miles and it's on the left. Look for the Boat Dock  & Ski Club sign, it's at the Marina.

This club offers plenty of seating, nice dance floor, friendly atmosphere and a nice view of the lake.
