The Salisbury Shag Club meets each Friday at the High Rock Boat & Ski Club, a membership only club. The club is located in a nice area on High Rock Lake in Salisbury, North Carolina. It’s a perfect getaway for an evening of great food, shag dancing and great music. Shag Dancing usually starts around 8:30 but you need to arrive around 7:30 to reserve a good table near the dance floor and to check out the menu. The new owner has worked hard to improve the facility, which now has a newly expanded 15 x 20 wooden dance floor in a separate room from the dining area. Nascar memorabilia along with 50’s and 60’s record covers is the theme you will notice when you arrive. Several televisions are strategically placed throughout this restaurant and club so that you will never miss an important event. The dining area has a nice selection of meals including steaks and seafood. Most meals come with an all-you-can-eat salad bar.  Smoking is allowed.  Smoke eaters and fans are located around the dance floor. There is also a very nice outside deck to enjoy during the warm months. Shag DJ’s spin the tunes and a cash bar for beer and mixed drinks is available. There is no cover charge. Fridays generally bring in about 75 - 100 people. You can usually find Mike Sifford at this club (Carolina Beach Music Award - Shag Fan of the Year - 2005).

Guests are always welcomed by this shag club to enjoy a great view, nice meal, and if you are lucky, maybe a cruise down the lake on a friend’s pontoon boat.
