You’ll find the Harnett Area Shag Association shagging the nights away in Dunn, NC., located 2 hours from the Crystal Coast, 5 hours from the oldest mountains in the world and 1 hour from the Research Triangle. The club dances on the second Friday of the month at the Dunn Shrine Center.  The Shrine Center is a non- smoking facility with a cash bar and a large 45’ x 40’ area dance floor. The Harnett Area Shag Association or HASA provides a nice spread of appetizers for the members and guests. With so many shag clubs within a reasonable evening drive to Dunn, members and guests usually number over 100 on an average evening. The dance starts with the beach/shag DJ at 7 pm. Shag lessons are also offered on Tuesday nights at 7pm at MiCasita in Dunn with instructors Larry Patterson and Shirley Weaver.
