Between the sandy beaches of Daytona Beach and the Daytona International Speedway you’ll find the Daytona Beach Shag Club dancing at the Moose Lodge. The Moose Lodge at Ormond Beach has been their home now every Saturday night for 4 years. This nice facility has a room with a 14’ x 18’ wooden dance floor just off the bar, dining area that the club meets in to socialize and enjoy great shag music. Lessons are taught by appointment on the same night. They average about 35 to 50 members. Rebecca and Kenn Davis are the guiding forces behind the success of this shag club so far from the Carolina home of the shag. Rebecca organizes and takes care of the details and meets all her members and guests with Southern hospitality. Kenn does lots of behind the scenes work, he tapes every dance the club has on Saturday nights, edits all the tapes, and at the end of the year presents each club member with a DVD of the parties along with shag tunes for their enjoyment. Dinner is available before 8pm from the dining room. Full cash bar available ( along with some karaoke). Smoking is allowed in the bar area only. Ample parking and seating in the lounge area. DJ s are up to date on the latest top shag songs.
Super friendly group, nice dance floor, good music, all in a cozy atmosphere.
