The Chatham Area Shag Association meets at 7pm on the 4^th Friday of each month at their new home venue, the Pittsboro Council on Aging, 365 Hwy 87 N in Pittsboro. The Council has a large meeting room with a 15’ x 25’ tile dance floor, ample seating, and a kitchen available for the club to use. Cover charge is $5 for members and $7 for guests. The Chatham Area Shag Association, or CASA, provides appetizers and soft drinks and guests may bring their favorite beverage. This is a non smoking facility but you can take a break outside where there is a nice wrap around porch with rocking chairs that you can take a moment to sit in and relax. The Club rotates DJ s to play for the parties. This club has about 80 members. A usual crowd on social night will bring in about 35 attendees.  This club is fortunate to have several other weekly venues within an hours drive to visit. The Scoreboard in Pittsboro offers shag lessons on Mondays for beginners, intermediate and advanced students.  The Time Out Bar, located in Raleigh, offers shag lessons on Tuesdays. Thursday nights are Rayz Deck party at TJ’s in Raleigh with live bands. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday members can take a trip to the Sandbar Beach Club for Ladies Night Out and live beach music. 

CASA welcomes guests to join them and enjoys getting together for the shag dancing and fun.
