The Rock Hill Area Shag Club, the second shag  club to form in South Carolina in 1981, meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month at Branham’s Fine Food, 4124 Celanese Rd ( Hwy 161) in Rock Hill, SC. Members meeting begins at 8pm while the DJ is warming up the other patrons in the dining area converted to a dance floor. The tile dance floor is about 15’ x 20’. Different local DJ’s play each month to a usual crowd of about 60-70 shaggers. There is no cover charge and dancers can sit down to eat to a full menu available to them. Smoking is allowed but smoke eaters are in place. There is plenty of parking available, although seating may be limited with a large crowd.   This club also helps sponsor the Fifth Saturday dances usually held in Rock Hill at the Elks Lodge.
