Boppers Shag Club has returned home to Boppers Bar & Boogie, located at 5237 Albemarle Rd, Charlotte, NC. Shag lessons for Juniors are offered on Thursday nights from 6:30-7:30. Parents are encouraged to join in the lessons. Sundays at Boppers Bar & Boogie start with lessons from 7pm-8pm. A line dance lesson is taught between the shag lessons and the music starts at 8:15 with Randy Rowland. There is a $3 cover charge for members. Boppers Bar has a 17’ x 23’ black and white tile dance floor with seating on 3 sides and in the bar area. Smoking is allowed inside. There is extra parking around back. Friday nights you can also find Boppers members at Thoroughbred’s Lounge shagging the evening away. Boppers Shag Club also promotes many special events for the club and for charities. They have a DJ Throwdown twice a year, help sponsor the CBMA’s, help promote the Junior Shaggers and have additional events such as “Shagging with the Stars”. The club is devoted to the shag and it’s members. The members of Boppers Shag Club will greet you and make you feel right at home.
