Find your way to the central area of Florida near the World Famous Disney World and you’ll also find The Beach Boppers of Orlando, or BBOO. The Beach Boppers of Orlando meet every Sunday and Wednesday nights at the Why Not Lounge located in the Holiday Inn in Altamonte Springs. The Why Not Lounge has a 15’ x 24’ Parkay dance floor in front of a bandstand with plenty of table seating around the floor. Their own club DJ s Jerry Munson, Edee Dickinson and Frank Umont play for the crowd where there is usually at least 70 people dancing to shag, bop and swing. There is no cover charge to enter this non-smoking facility. Full bar available and limited menu with the club providing some light snacks for the dancers.

Being only about an hour in either direction from Tampa and Daytona, they also visit their respective clubs, along with Jacksonville clubs.

The BBOO, a club with 190 members, also sponsor an annual weekend event in November called Orange Squeeze.
